Parksville Volleyball Club

Girls Volleyball Teams

In the fall, Parksville Volleyball Club will hold TryOuts for various teams. The age categories for each team are determined by Volleyball BC and based on the Date of Birth of the Player. Players must attend the two day TryOuts. The coaches will determine who to offer a position with the team according to the rules outlined in the Volleyball BC Handbook. There are time sensitivities to this process that each player needs to pay attention to.

I started playing for PVC when I was in grade 9. Before the club season I had been a new student and spent a large amount of my school season riding the bench. I never complained about it and loved cheering my team on, however I felt very discouraged and wanted to quit. My friends were trying out for the team and I reluctantly tagged along. The decision to try out for Parksville Volleyball Club was one of the best choices I have made. The amazing coaches, players, and club organizers provided me with a safe space to learn to love the sport and learn to love myself.

During my grade 6-7 year, I played on the school team but I always felt like something was missing and I was thinking about quitting. During my grade 7 year I heard about PVC and decided to try out for U14, I didn’t have much hope as I was younger than everyone else but the coaches took a chance on me and for that I’m forever grateful, I finally realized what was missing...it was the competition and the fire that PVC provided for me along with new skills and support from the coaches. Being on that court with my team brings so much joy into my life and I wouldn’t wanna be playing anywhere else.
